The original layout of most terraced houses – tiny kitchens, smaller separate living rooms leading off from one another with little light allowed to penetrate each one – just doesn’t suit modern life.
As you can see on a first picture foundation is completed, first courses of bricks laid, damp course installed. After 4 weeks we took second picture. At that moment we were installing glass roof.
Glass roof its great solution when you want to bring as much light as possible into your kitchen/dinning.
Just opposite to our work we started same renovation project that involves side return, loft conversation and full full refurbishment.
Kitchen installation in a progress. Floor already received underfloor heating and tiles.
New kitchen is very modern, white and bright. Kitchen benefit from build in fridge/freezer oven/microwave dishwasher/washer machine vine cooler and power full extractor hood
Apart of common spotlights and speaker in a ceiling we installed lights in a plinth, underneath of cupboards.
Glass roof from inside
More than a quarter of all UK houses are terraced and although there can be minimal space in which to extend, clever design solutions or choosing to simply remodel the existing layout instead can result in a surprisingly spacious, practical home.
