Poplar

Project Details

Location: Poplar, East London

Named “Gorgeous Georgian”  Space Group Architects.

We’re proud to have delivered the full refurbishment and extension of this Grade II listed, five-storey Georgian home in East London’s All Saints Church Conservation Area.

Working closely with Space Group architects, we brought their ambitious vision to life, restoring period features while transforming the home for modern living. The house now includes four generous bedrooms, three high-spec bathrooms, two formal reception rooms, and a striking kitchen/dining space.

A standout feature is the rear double height extension, built in London stock brick to match the original structure. It features a restored cast iron spiral staircase and a new travertine clad stair rising through a glass box, flooding the home with natural light and framing views of Canary Wharf.

Travertine (a form of terrestrial limestone) finishes run throughout the property, from sculptural elements in the kitchen to luxurious bathrooms and staircases. Behind the scenes, we installed energy efficient infrared heating, battery storage, and a steam room on the top floor.

Restoration was central to the project, original sash windows were repaired, and conservation-grade skylights were added to the mansard roof.

This project reflects what we do best, combining craftsmanship with technical skill to deliver homes that honour their history while meeting the needs of modern life.

The owner says...

Summit helped us fully refurbish and renovate a grade II listed Regency townhouse in Poplar, East London.

Vadym and his team were professional, easy to work with, and delivered high-quality work throughout. They consistently came up with practical solutions to problems during the project (which can happen a lot with old buildings!)

We are thrilled with the result and would definitely recommend them for large residential renovation projects. Their attention to detail is fantastic and the finish –  flawless.
