Summit undertook a complete rebuild of our whole loft space including a reconfigured roof. This included craning multiple large steel beams (to support the new loft) across the roof, fitting a loft kitchen and bathroom, laying new floors etc. Summit's pricing was not the cheapest however Vadym's team delivered polite attentive service, tidiness, attention to detail and long work hours. I picked out SGBC primarily because I'd seen the work that they had done for a friend of mine on a big project and it was a really high standard of job. I initially met with Vadym and the wonderful architect Andrea Cincotta (who Vadym recommended and I would also highly recommend) and we worked towards a specification of the works and a quote. Vadym stuck to this figure right to the end despite the project taking a lot longer than we'd originally thought (because of planning and various material delays) and the inflating cost of materials that was going on at that time.
I worked with Dima day to day on the site details who was absolutely great - always taking my calls without fail, meeting up and talking through things even when I was probably being quite annoying and difficult! I know now that no big project is going to be totally straightforward and it's not something I had any experience of but I was really happy with how it was managed overall.

I was very impressed with the level of skill - particularly of the carpenter and the bricklayer (who I would say was verging on being an artist as he had such a good eye for the aesthetics)

Despite the scale and complexity of the project we were always impressed with Julian’s ability to work through a problem and find a solution whilst staying level headed and calm. During lockdown we found that we needed to change the layout of our home to better suit the way
that we lived as a family. We wanted a home that brought us together, but also gave us space and
relaxation when needed, as well as making sure that the design was ‘future-proof’. We decided to
take the plunge and redesign it working with Goldstein Heather Architecture.
Summit completely transformed our home [Victoria Villa] for the better! It was a big project and took eight months to complete. They added a side return and a new kitchen, a downstairs toilet, a utilities room, replaced two first floor bathrooms, built numerous fitted cupboards and painted and decorated the entire property, as well as adding a beautiful patio area. I kept coming across beautiful Victorian properties on Instagram that had been recently renovated by Summit and so I was keen to include them in the tender for our extension. We chose Summit for several reasons. They were the only builders who wanted to meet with us prior to submitting their tender and they were happy for us to contact their previous clients who could only say great things about them. Including the way that they worked, communicated and dealt with any queries.
Their work, close-up in real life, still looked as lovely as the Instagram posts, and they managed to balance modern building work with period homes. Julian was our project manager and is such a positive warm person. We loved that we could communicate easily and honestly with Summit. Julian was available to contact whenever we needed to, and he made sure that we were also in direct contact with the key workers such as the electrician, plumber etc. too so that there was no delay in decision making. Not only did he really understand what we wanted but he also made recommendations for suppliers and finishes which was very helpful especially when there are hundreds of decisions to make.

Given the high standards we expected of both customer service and quality of work, their excellent reputation, and wanting to work with a single main contractor, we chose Summit.

Full of capable professionals working to high standards, taking the time needed rather than rushing through. They turned up on time every day, working full days without fuss. Those that were regulars on-site day in, and day out were also very personable and we actually enjoyed having them around. They were willing to answer our many questions, and help us in our decision-making. The team at Summit carried out the building and refurbishment work at our property which included demolishing an existing single story extension and replacing with a larger structure which would include the laying of herringbone flooring throughout the sitting and dining room areas and traditional floor tiles to the hallway area and complete redecoration of the completed areas. Being in a mid terrace property we were conscious that all materials would need to be brought though the property and were concerned about the levels of dirt and potential damage to areas not included in the building work. We were also concerned about the containment and safety of our pets as they would be present in the house throughout the build. The Summit team fully respected and understood all of these concerns and were very accommodating and respectful of this throughout. The team on site were always polite and respectful and completely approachable when we had questions or needed to discuss elements of the build and they were also very courteous and respectful to our neighbours.
As with all building projects there were unexpected challenges and problems that needed to be tackled and Julian was always responsive and on hand to discuss and address as needed. The Summit team fully respected and understood all of these concerns and were very accommodating and respectful of this throughout. The team on site were always polite and respectful and completely approachable when we had questions or needed to discuss elements of the build and they were also very courteous and respectful to our neighbours.
As with all building projects there were unexpected challenges and problems that needed to be tackled and Julian was always responsive and on hand to discuss and address as needed. Julian also liaised extensively with our glazing contractors who provided the glazed roof, external and internal doors. Overall we are extremely happy with the work the team delivered and the finished works surpassed even our expectations!

Summit did a single storey ground floor extension with garage conversion on our 1920’s semi-detached property in South Woodford. To source our builder we asked for input from our local Facebook group, Summit had 100% positive reviews from the local community, we also visited a local property they had renovated and were really impressed with the finish. Summit converted the loft, reconfigured the 1st floor, installed 3 bathrooms, bespoke cabinetry throughout, rewired and plumbed everywhere, built an extension, re-rendered, landscaped the garden, built a garden room, installed a new driveway and built the kids a climbing frame! After much research into local building companies, we chose Summit to carry out a large renovation project on our family home.
We couldn’t be more happy with the service we received over the months that they were with us. We remained living in the house with our three children and dog. They were not necessarily the cheapest quote, however they insisted on doing the work within their own team so they could ensure quality, and they manage the build process from start to finish. I am super happy with the work that Summit did for me. The team was very friendly and professional - even my neighbours were impressed! I was worried how it would feel having them in my house all the time, but they were always very respectful of the fact that it was my home and I was still living there, and left everything really tidy.
