Grand Designs Feature: East London 1960s Transformation
One of our proudest projects to date was recently recognised by Grand Designs Magazine: the complete transformation of a tired 1960s property in an East London conservation area.
Working closely with T-Space architects and our clients, we replaced the outdated house with a striking, contemporary new build that both respects its traditional surroundings and brings modern design to the fore.
From the bold herringbone brick detailing on the façade to the light-filled, open-plan interiors, every element was carefully considered to balance innovation with sensitivity to context. Achieving this level of precision required technical expertise and meticulous craftsmanship from our team, who ensured that the ambitious design was delivered to the high standards our clients expect when they choose Summit.
The result is a home that feels calm, timeless, and tailored to the needs of the family who live there and one that has caught the eye of the wider design world.
The feature highlights more than just an architect’s vision, it underscores our role as a partner in realising that vision. It’s a reminder that architecture and construction are most successful when design, craftsmanship, and client voice come together seamlessly.

Grand Designs Feature: Sydenham Self-Build
Another Summit project to be recognised by Grand Designs Magazine is this striking family home in Sydenham. Built on a challenging sloping plot, the design pairs a clean, white brick frontage with a charred larch rear structure, creating a home that feels both bold and welcoming.
Every detail was carefully considered, from the use of natural materials and bespoke features to the way light flows through the interiors. With sustainability at its core, the home incorporates energy efficient systems and thoughtful design choices that will stand the test of time. The result is a property that is as practical for family life as it is architecturally impressive.
