Brixton

Project Details

Location: Brixton, London

For this project we built a ground floor  extension to create an open plan kitchen/dining area, utility room and patio. A roof lantern was added to the living room and doors to the garden.

As well as the families rather photogenic feline, we love the use of one of the support beams as a book shelf.

The owner says...

Vadym and the Summit team were recommended to us by a neighbour who had done a roof extension – ours was a bigger task as we were remodelling the whole ground floor including building two extensions and knocking out the side wall, but Vadym took it in his stride.

We were particularly grateful that as the building work progressed, whenever a minor problem cropped up or we realised that our architect’s plans were ambiguous, Vadym was on hand with an ingenious solution to resolve the issue. When we needed to make choices about the right approach, he would talk us through the potential options allowing us to make our decisions with confidence. His vigilance and professionalism were hugely reassuring, as we had no experience of taking on a task of this magnitude ourselves.

Vadym and his colleagues took care of all the main tasks – from masonry to plastering, carpentry, electrics, plumbing and decorating. They even transformed the garden at the end. We are delighted with the end result, and look forward to working again with Summit in the future.
