Project Details

Location: Wanstead, London

Being untouched for many years, this project was screaming out for some TLC. We gutted the existing house, removing the original plumbing, heating systems and some internal walls, then built a double storey side extension and ground floor rear extension.

The ground floor now sports a light filled, open plan kitchen and living space, front reception, utility room, larder and ground floor W.C. Two extra bedrooms were added to the first floor and the landing opened up with a higher ceiling and large skylight.

After installing a new heating and electrical system throughout, air conditioning and underfloor heating was added to the to the house, providing a more comfortable environment for our clients.

This property has undergone a huge transformation, check out the before and during renovation photos below.

The owner says...

Summit did a back extension and double story side extension along with a whole house renovation. We chose them because we were impressed with the overall finish at their previous sites, and the references came back very good.

The Summit work ethic is incredible. They were always on time and worked continuously to ensure the project kept to pace. Having Julian as project manager was critical to the success of the build, managing the timeline and communication. He visited the house every day to keep us informed of progress. We felt listened to from start to finish, and the team would act on any concerns in a timely manner. Julian also gave us some creative input as the spaces took shape. For example, the original drawings had a random unused nook, and Julian designed a beautiful built-in bookcase that transformed the living room area.

A complete house renovation and extension will always be challenging and stressful, but Summit made it as painless and smooth as it could be. Fundamentally, we felt like we could trust them with building our family home, and we think they delivered with flying colours!
