Project Details

Location: Clapham, London

This project called for a complete refurbishment whilst still maintaining the original character of the house.

We built an open plan side and rear extension and converted both the loft and basement. We built in bespoke carpentry so the customers have plenty storage.

This was an enjoyable project to work on, the end product is nothing short of spectacular.  The proof was in the pudding when the house was featured in Grand Designs Magazine.

The owner says...

I have now worked with Summit on four projects in various parts of London. I was first introduced to Julian, working in Wanstead on a large house renovation which included the complete reconfiguration of the existing property, adding a very large extension to the rear, the side and the roof space. Throughout the project Julian was accommodating and easy to work with. His team were very hard-working and the final product that they produced was of an excellent quality. I know that the property owner is also very happy with their newly refurbished home.

After working with Julian I was introduced to his business partner Vadym who works mainly in South London. He first completed a project for us in Clapham Junction where we added a new basement to a property as well as extending and completely refurbishing the existing dwelling. This project was actually published in Grand Designs Magazine and recognised in the Don’t Move Improve Awards, 2019, which identifies the best extensions in London of the year. We were very happy with the quality of the work produced and Vadym’s team showed a full range of skills being able to complete everything from basement construction through to the finer finishing details that we asked for.

The following project that they completed for us was actually my own house. I think it speaks highly when an architect uses a builder on their own house. I am incredibly happy with the result of this build.

The last project is a new build development in East Dulwich. We introduced some very complicated brick detailing into this building which Vadym and his team embraced. The building is nearing completion and is looking excellent.

We definitely test the builders that we work with and ask them to produce bespoke details that are different from typical housing projects. Each time both Vadym and Julian have stepped up and delovered in all cases and the products they have produced have met our very high expectation. We hope to work with them again soon.
