This unique project involved the demolition of an existing double garage and the construction of a striking new home on a narrow infill plot, complete with a full basement. Designed by the clients themselves, the scheme pushed both design and construction boundaries, resulting in a truly distinctive and highly modern living space.
The build presented significant technical challenges from the outset, including the removal of extensive concrete foundations and complex underpinning along both sides of the plot. Careful planning, engineering expertise and meticulous execution were essential to deliver the project safely and successfully within such a constrained setting.
The architectural vision centred around fluidity and movement, with circles and curves forming a strong and recurring design language throughout the home. These elements demanded a high level of precision and craftsmanship from our team, particularly where structural form met fine finishes. The result is a home that feels both bold and elegant, with spaces that flow seamlessly from one to the next.
A standout feature of the property is the bespoke spiral staircase, crafted from white concrete. Sculptural in form and beautifully finished, it acts as both a functional element and a central design statement. This is complemented by expansive architectural glazing, flooding the interiors with natural light and enhancing the sense of space across all levels.
The completed home is a testament to thoughtful design, engineering excellence and dedicated project management. It delivers a highly contemporary living environment that maximises space and light and the outcome is nothing short of spectacular.

Firstly we can resolutely testify to The Summit Group Mission, which is “to build the highest quality living space at an affordable price whilst providing you with an excellent customer service.” Their task was to demolish our existing double garage, including removal of extensive concrete foundations and to build a brand new house, with a basement. This was a daunting task for any contractor, as it included extensive underpinning along both sides of our narrow infill plot.
Vadym and his excellent and experienced team have been great. Neighbours, who were building their own beautiful home, with his building expertise, recommended him to us. We are architects and we appreciated his insight and ideas in our design, as it evolved. We also found his costing was sensible, comprehensive and he was reasonable to deal with in this regard, which was appreciated. He provided good welfare facilities on site for his team.
What stood out for us is the honesty, integrity and respectful attitude of the whole team. Also not only did they prove themselves to be remarkably intrepid in addressing, and ingeniously overcoming and resolving obstacles, their careful attention to detail, accuracy in construction and general diligence were evident throughout the process.
