The Meadway was one of our larger projects. After the initial demolition, only the front and two side walls of the original house remained.
For this project we built a double storey extension with a large loft room with a dressing room and ensuite, three bedrooms, two with ensuite’s, a study and a family bathroom. Downstairs, a playroom, cloakroom, utility and large open plan rear extension.
A smart home system was installed to control lighting, heating, speakers and more.
We designed all of the bespoke carpentry, to include a large entertainment system, book shelves, desks and wardrobes in every bedroom.
Our design ideas were used for the extensive garden built on three levels. We created a large patio area with outside lighting and cedar wood fencing, steps to each level and built in planters. Due to to the nature of the multi-level garden we designed a custom drainage system to protect against flooding.
The exterior walls were insulated and a silicone render applied.
The Meadway was an enjoyable home to work on with David and Frankie. We loved the sheer scale and heavily customised elements of the build and solving the challenges a project of this size brings was tremendously satisfying.
The owner says...
“We are very pleased with the work Summit did to build our family house for life! We selected Summit based on all the incredible feedback we got from their previous clients – and now we can see why.
The work comprised of a 4 meter rear extension involving lots of steel creating a stunning Open Plan Kitchen, Diner and Living Room, a loft conversion, remodelling and a full refurbishment. Not only was their work done to a very high standard, but they took all the stress out of what would normally be a very stressful process
Julian is a great communicator, and they have assembled an impressive team who are very skilled, professional and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they had solutions for all our requests, plus many great suggestions of their own.
Overall the proof is in the beauty of the house they built for us and how happy we are!”
